New Lobby

Mirroring the spirit of innovation and reinvention prevalent in Silicon Valley, the redesigned lobby will feature a refreshing new arrival experience. Taking design cues from the communal and collaborative open-concepts favored by surrounding tech offices, the ambiance will be energetic and buzzing with the luxurious touches well-traveled guests have come to expect. Soft, residential style furnishings will create a space where guests will want to relax. Replacing the traditional reception desk are three individual check-in pods offering a completely reimagined check-in process helping to further remove the physical barriers between our staff and guests, encouraging more authentic interactions.

Further incorporating technological touches, a 10 ft. by 7 ft. digital art wall will adorn the area behind the new reception area, greeting guests as they arrive for their stay. The digital art wall will feature a rotating selection of local works from animators, video artists, and a digital artist working with a regenerative data-culling algorithm focused on Silicon Valley. Selected pieces include Golden Gate by Brian Alfred and Paint, Unpaint by Kota Ezawa. Featured Artists will be invited to host “Art Talks” to provide further insight into their work, inspiration and process.
